I was quite hesitant to buy this keyboard, because I'm not a keyboard player, but I wanted to learn how to play and actual, standalone instrument that's not hooked on my computer. That said, I have experience with MIDI keyboards and here is my initial impression about the NUMA Compact 2 after a month of testing:
- The keys are comfortable, feels good to touch them
- The interface is super responsive and easy-to-use, however the built-in effects are limited
- 1 GB of storage for all the 88 sounds seems a bit tight, but somehow I feel Studiologic managed to squeeze them in.
-If you want to use it with your computer, it's PLUG AND PLAY. Really.
Check the videos on youtube. The Japanese dude convinced me after all.
I've bought this keyboard few weeks ago. Really quick shipment , by the way, after 11 days i take it on post office.

You won't be disappointed!
I did a lot of research on the tidiest, neatest 88 note available, with the smallest profile, to fit under a desk less than 140cm wide, and slide out when required. This fit the bill perfectly. It's light, comes on fast, has speakers built in for immediacy, and actually sounds pretty great, especially for the money. It has a simple split/layer function too, which is very useful. Bear in mind, of course, that this is not a fully weighted board (that would be impossible at 7kg! It's nearly a third the weight (never to mind the price) of my Nord Stage, but would function reasonably well as a temp backup if anything happened to mine. If you are looking for a really light and small 88 note, for €499 you can't go far wrong.
