The Toontrack Area 33 SDX expansion for Superior Drummer 3 users provides you with a total of five excellent and unique drumkits for metal productions of all kinds. For this SDX, the team returned to Fredrik Thordendal's personal Studio 33 in Stockholm to capture the unique sound of classic hard rock and heavy metal from the late 1960s through to the 80s. But that's not all - with two different tom configurations for each Set - one open and one muted - this expansion covers all the gaps in between and delivers exactly what you'd expect: thunderous, loud, but also muted, tight and crisp drums for every style.
What's more, the kits were recorded using microphone technology that goes far beyond the traditional. Each drum and cymbal was recorded in both mono and stereo for more flexibility in sound. In addition, 11 ambience microphones were used, seven of them in stereo, to capture the outstanding character of the 33 drum room.
Of course, not just any drum kits were used here: benefit from the sound of rare and vintage treasures that are stunning in every way, and add that certain something to all your projects.
