The Art & Lutherie Americana represents the traditional dreadnought construction as a versatile and proven classic among Western guitars. Solid spruce wood and a body made of Canadian wild cherry define the acoustic profile with clearly strong trebles, attacking mids and plenty of dynamic room for flat pickers. The semi-gloss patina finish, which has also been applied for the first time, not only shows the wood and grain of the Western, but also offers the feeling and feel of well-practiced instruments. Last but not least, the Fishman Presys II pickup system offers all the possibilities of modern pickup and removal methods in first-class sound quality.
The Art & Lutheries Americana resonance cabinet with a solid and pressure-tested spruce top ensures appropriate sounds and clearly defined trebles. Accordingly, the instrument produces clear sounds rich in overtones with crisp attack and clear tonal separation, while in the back and sides native woods in the form of Canadian wild cherry are used and fill the sound profile with central warmth. Thanks to the thin and open-pored finish, the resonance of the body is not slowed down by heavy paints and offers the greatest possible acoustic radiance in all positions.
Fishman's Presys II pickup system relies on direct resonance transmission on the bridge using an under-saddle transducer and skilfully reproduces the player's touch dynamics. In addition to a graphic 2-band equalizer for bass and treble, the system has a volume control for adjusting the signal volume and an integrated tuner with 7-segment display. Of course, the outgoing signal can be used for recording as well as amplification via acoustic amps and PAs and in conjunction with effect devices.
