Faithful replica of Brian May Red Special guitar
The Brian May Special Limited Edition Black 'N' Gold is a faithful replica of the legendary "Red Special" christened electric guitar, which has always been the unmistakable trademark of the Queen guitarist. Like the original, which Brian built together with his father in the early sixties from, among other things, the more than 100-year-old wood of a mantelpiece, the limited BMG Special in the timelessly elegant black and gold look has a mahogany body with resonance chambers, a glued mahogany neck in the comfortable C-profile and a buttery-soft playable 24" scale length (610 mm). Three Brian May Guitars Custom Tri-Sonic Style single coils and the elaborate circuitry also promise a particularly flexible sound between glassy cleans and rich rock distortion. Naturally, complete a Wilkinson WVP-2 2-Point Knife Edge Tremolo and tuning stable locking tuners the equipment of the Brian May Guitars Special LE Black 'N' Gold.
The Brian May Guitars Special Limited Edition Black 'N' Gold is a faithful replica of Brian May's legendary homemade Red Special guitar.
Set-neck instrument with comfortable handling
In the construction of the Special Limited Edition Black 'N' Gold Brian May Guitars naturally follows the model known as "Fireplace" and "Old Lady". Accordingly, the mahogany body features generous resonance chambers, which promise not only an additional resonance boost, but also a perfect balance on the strap. In conjunction with the wide C-profile of the glued, one-piece mahogany neck, the short 24" scale length (610 mm) promises buttery-smooth playing characteristics and full control over string bends on the 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
Tri-Sonic Style pickups with flexible circuitry.
A not inconsiderable part of the unmistakable Brian May sound, as heard on countless Queen albums, is clearly the characterful circuitry of the Red Special, which the BGM Special Black 'N' Gold naturally reproduces exactly. While three Brian May Guitars Custom Tri-Sonic Style single coils handle the electrical sound conversion, a total of six slider switches grant control over the sound. In addition to three On/Off switches, which can be used to realize all available pickup combinations, three switches are available to reverse the phase of every single coil. furthermore, volume control and a tone pot allow you to adjust the guitar sound.
High-quality hardware components
As attachments for the BMG Special Limited Edition Black 'N' Gold Brian May relies on high-quality components that more than meet professional demands. The bridge is the popular Wilkinson WVP 2-Point Knife Edge Tremolo, which not only reacts buttery smooth to movements of the Custom tremolo arm but also guarantees exact intonation and string position adjustment with six brass string riders. Behind the zero frets and nut, Grover Top-Locking Locking tuners keep the BMG Special LE Black 'N' Gold stable in the correct tuning even after frequent reaches for the tremolo lever.
