The "small" black Cordial ZZound patch cable in its robust design is ideally suited for analog synthesizers and modular systems. The REAN mono mini jack plugs ensure a secure fit and hold. The nozzles are marked with a different colour depending on their length.
I used this cable to DIY it into a minijack to angled Jack connector for the trigger input from my modular system into my D. Koch - the Pill. For this, I added a Neutrik angled Jack to one end. This all went smooth.
However, the cable is quite flimsy and the isolation quickly had a small cut (perhaps from the installation into the system). This was easily fixable and doesn't matter much, as it's only transporting a trigger signal.
In a contained modular system, this would probably not matter at all and the great REAN connectors and proper soldering make it into a quality cable. But for live/installation I would/will go with a different cable in the future. Let's see how long this lasts.
