Versatile and finely tunable overdrive sounds between juicy crunch and brute fuzz for the electric bass are the Darkglass Microtubes X's specialty. Equipped with a high-pass and a low-pass filter, the compact pedal divides the bass signal into a high frequency range for the CMOS distortion and a low frequency range that remains clean for preservation and pressure and definition. The cutoff frequencies can be precisely selected using the corresponding potentiometers, while the "Drive" potentiometer determines the intensity of the distortions. In addition, the Darkglass Microtubes X features a mix control, which determines the ratio between high-pass and low-pass signal, and an active mid-range control, which is arranged at the end of the signal path to allow precise final tuning of the sound.
