The Analog Rytm is a one stop solution beat machine. Distinguished by the power of analog drum sounds fused with samples. Perfected by the immediacy of drum pads coupled with Elektron sequencing.
True analog punch:
The depth of the kick drums, the bite of the snare drums, those cavernous toms, the airy shimmer of the hihats. The meticulously engineered analog circuit designs make the Analog Rytm come alive. Let us be clear. The eight drum voices sound brilliantly deep.
Elevated by samples:
For ultimate percussive flexibility, every drum voice can be spiced up with customizable samples. Fill the sample storage to the brim and explore completely new sound territories. The perfect unity of analog drum sounds and samples simply goes beyond.
Maximized playability:
Twelve drum pads offer a quick and spontaneous way of creating rhythms. And the Elektron step sequencer stands ready for grid based action. The combination gives both instant results and the opportunity of detailed editing. The perfect beat awaits.
Overbridge enabled:
Overbridge is the easy way in. For the first time in history analog synthesizers and drum machines can be seamlessly integrated in DAW environments. The magic of using an Elektron Analog instrument as a fully featured VST plugin is a breakthrough experience.
This is hands down the best combination of an analogue hardware synthesizer (tuned in a way that produces best drum sounds) and a sampler.
It is a hybrid of not only two sound sources but also two ways of working. You can pick between composing your loops in a Roland TR fashion (triggered on a 64 step sequencer) or Akai MPC pads live recording.
All this with amazing quantization options, swing etc. Every sound in your composition can have its own settings. This gives you an amazing amount of control and it is still not a VST but an actual analogue sound engine.
On top of that, Performance and Scene mode which deserve another review on its own.
Highly recommended. Best thing since invention of Akai MPC series.
After spend some time with RYTM im absolutely in love.
As a owner of other Elektron machines theres some learning curve to this machine but very rewarding in the end.
The sound its just.. well... ANALOG.
I must say this is the best drum machine available in the market right now! No doubt!
Really happy with the purchase!
The Analog Rytm is something amazing.
It's definitely piece of gear that have a "strong personality" it sound the way it want to sound and it need quite a long time to really understand the way it work to really start programing the sound and the pattern you want, but after you understand it, this become a true beast!
The palette of sounds you can achieve with this machine are almost infinite, from strong techno beats, to weird IDM patterns this machine will be there for you. Its "analog engines" tend to sound a bit "dark" in the way the high end is always a bit under the low end, but you can use your own sample to achieve a more present high end, actually using you own sample is what makes this machine shine (As if that amazing Analog engines not enough). What this machine do is not trying to emulate anything but going for its own road, and it do it magnificent.
10/10 Really recommended for real electronic musicians (dis and pseudo-producer will not be able to operate it).
