Professional guitar support for classical guitarists
The
Ergoplay Guitar Support Johannes Tappert
is a professional support for unhindered playing in classical position. The design, developed in collaboration with Johannes Tappert, a classical guitarist and expert for historical performance practice on the instrument, is infinitely adjustable in height and lifts the guitar into a comfortable playing position when playing on the left leg. This relieves both the left and right arm, giving absolute control over the playing technique. The Ergoplay Johannes Tappert is attached to the frame via three suction pads, which can be removed from high-gloss lacquer at any time without leaving any residue. For use with matte or satin finishes, a self-adhesive foil is required on the frame for attachment.
The Ergoplay Gitarrenstütze Johannes Tappert Schwarz at a glance:
Having tried to play with a footstool I found it hurt my back even after a short time but using the Ergoplay it felt so natural and you can adjust it very easy I changed the position until I found the right one.
This is a well made product, but ... it doesn't work very well in practice! The suction cups do not retain their adhesion to the guitar, within about 1 minute of use. There is a possibility to tilt the guitar only at the front mounting, but not the back (lower) one. The whole thing is too simplistic, it needs a thorough design rethink
