Handpans are sound structures made of steel, which are manufactured by hand. The clear, flowing sound with a calming effect is becoming increasingly popular. A special feature of the Handpan is that the tones harmonize with each other completely. It does not matter which tones are played at the same time, the sound is always harmonious. Therefore, the Fame Handpan One D Minor is particularly suitable for beginners, because already after a few minutes learning success sets in and you can enjoy the meditative character.
Detailed quality check by our Handpan expert
Like all Fame Handpans every Handpan One is checked for workmanship and sound quality before delivery and finally provided with our quality seal. Since these are instruments with a high percentage of handwork, slight color deviations compared to the product image are possible.

Sound structure with nine tones: Handpan One from Fame in 440 Hz
The central keynote of Handpans is in the middle, around which the chorus of sound fields is arranged in a circle. The individual playing surfaces are under compressive stress, these are tuned in elaborate manual work in 440 Hz. If the sound fields are now briefly struck with the hand, the entire handpan is brought into vibration and there is a linear, clear tone with singing sustain.
The technique for playing a handpan is comparatively simple to learn: the playing surface is struck briefly with the fingertip, and the faster the hand is then pulled away, the more beautiful the resulting tone.
At a more affordable price than most handpans its good for those with lower budgets and interested beginners however the quality is excellent so shouldn't put off professional players either. Comes with a good bag, one review mentioned the shoulder straps were too short to wear as a rucksack however I found it fits fine and at 6" reckon it would fit most people fine. Overall a great product.
As a person who has played percussion foe 32 years this is a beautiful made instrument with very hipnotic sounds, once you start playing either tunes or rtythms you, ll never want to put it down.
The sound and tone is excellent, very easy to pick up and play quickly without prior experience. I picked it up very quickly, looks beautiful also. The only knock is the back pack carry case it comes with, the back straps are not long enough to be at all useable, you can't actually use it and have to hold the handle to carry it. Apart from that, all excellent, there were a few slight marks to the finish, but overal that makes no difference to the tone
