The Fender Tex Mex Strat Pick-Ups (White) have a warm, distinctive tone, increased output and defined high-end that offer classic vintage Strat sounds. These overwound vintage style Strat pick-ups are constructed with Alnico 5 magnets and polysol magnet wire and feature a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pick-up for hum cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Tex Mex pick-ups are famously heard on the Jimmy Vaughan Stratocaster.
The main features of the Fender Tex Mex Strat Pick-Ups (White) include:
Set of 3x (Bridge/Middle/Neck) Vintage Pick-Ups for Stratocaster Guitars
Alnico 5 Magnets

Highly usable and clear pickups perfect for any home build or any upgrade of a cheaper instrument, I myself put them into a 90s Squier Strat and was extremely impressed! The install was quite easy as everything was of a suitable fit allowing for easy work for myself. I am strung with 11-52s and tuned to drop C# and play through a cranked Ac30C2 and these pickups shone through and added a crispness to my sound which I had been looking for as I had been using humbuckers for the most part in recent times.
I purchased these for a project guitar that would be my Mark Knopfler tribute strat. My basis was a 1997 Squier Affinity. Contrary to opinions these instruments are a really good upgrade format. I wanted a hotter sound than my player series strat, but retaining that quintessential strat tone. These pickups are just that. Knopfler had Texas specials in his 62. For me the Tex-Mex give me the tone I want for all early Dire Straits material. The magnets and wiring are the quality of these pickups. The cheap plastic base plate and cable wiring are the price you don't pay for these budget pickups. But all in all 5*
