"Ladies and gentlemen...how about a nice, warm round or applause to welcome the world's greatest blues singer, the King or the Blues, B.B. King!"
For Blues fans, these words signal the beginning of one of the best live blues albums of all time. Now, with the Gibson Custom B.B. King "Live at the Regal" ES-335, Gibson is releasing a limited edition replica of the centerpiece of that 1964 Chicago performance. This custom version of the momentous 1959 model is adorned with all the special features that bring out the warm and soulful B.B. King tone. A Bigsby B-7 vibrato, Varitone switch and Grover "Milk Bottle" tuners give it that special flair. 100 pieces of this Semi-Hollow guitar were handmade in Nashville, Tennessee and finished with authentic Aged nitrocellulose lacquer from Gibson Murphy Labs. Completing this guitar is a Custom Shop Lifton hard case and certificate of authenticity.

Only 100 pieces of this ES-335 are available worldwide and were handmade in the Gibson Murphy Labs

A piece of blues history in individual look and sound

The old-school sound of the Custom Gibson ES-335 is provided, among other things, by two Unpotted Custombuckers from Gibson in the neck and bridge position, a three-way and a VariTone switch. Hand-wired Paper-in-Oil caps add the final vintage touch to the tone and can be adjusted by two Golden Volume and Tone Gibson Historic knobs. The core of this model, however, is the reissue of the 1950 Bigsby B7 vibrato, which really makes the electric guitar sing and wail. A Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge adds to the tonal stability and gives the guitar a hidden characteristic with round covers for the pearl-look holes.

Murphy Labs Aged finish on premium tone woods.

A body of three-ply maple-poplar-maple laminationsurrounds a solid center block, which has contributed to the voluminous jazz sound of Gibson's semi-acoustic ES-335 since its first introduction in 1958. These high-quality tone woods are painted in an "Argentine Grey" sunburst, which was commissioned by B.B. King at the time for the guitar that was used as the inspiration for this model. Special aging technology of Tom Murphy Labs makes the nitrocellulose finish a special eye-catcher and gives this gem its unique and authentic look.

Playing comfort and visual polish

The soft mahogany wood of the neck, together with the time-honored neck profile, ensures the optimal playing and wearing comfort of the Gibson ES-335. Six strings nestle on a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot inlays, which rests on the glued neck in the '59 Rounded Medium C-profile. Stylish Nickel Grover "Milk Bottle" tuners sit at the head.
