The Gibson Les Paul Classic 2019 is all about the classic Paulas of the sixties and impressively presents the sound, the feeling and the vibes of the era. Following the traditional design, the Gibson Les Paul Classic 2019 consists of a mahogany body and slim taper neck with a resonant glue joint between the two components and a 22-flush rosewood fretboard in a 12" radius. Two Gibson Burstbucker 61R and 61T in neck and bridge position complement the Les Paul Classic 2019 with appropriate and versatile sounds. Not least thanks to four push/pull potentiometers for coil tap circuits of both pickups, for phase reversal and even a pure bypass function that removes all electronic components except for the pickup from the signal path.

MusicStore say they generally have a higher tolerance for visual imperfections on guitars that are competitively priced. That may well be true, but this one arrived in A1 pristine condition. Stunning gold top, no blemishes anywhere. What really matters though is how it sounds and this thing sings. Loudly! Definitely sounds fuller and more resonant than my standard and has quickly become my “go to”.

Oh wow! What a guitar. I was looking for a Gibson les Paul standard for ages as everyone knows the standard is the one right? Wrong, this 2019 Classic comes loaded with tech and features high end componants and sounds amazing. Music store smashed their competitors with the price and made it a deal not to pass up.
