She Les Paul Custom is a thoroughbred baby of the Gibson Custom Shop 50's and is based on the model equipment of the 50's, but without being historical Instrument in every detail. For classic playability and legendary LP Custom handling, a one-piece mahogany neck in a bold but nimble Rounded profile. The Gibson Custom Shop Paula uses a uniformly manufactured Richlite fingerboard with the proven radius of 12".
Thanks to their classic Tulip wings, the sturdy Grover Tuner ones not only provide the authentic Paula Silhouette , but also promise a long service life. On the other side of the instrument there is an Gibson Tune-o-Matic original Ted McCarty design with individually adjustable string riders and Thumb wheels for correcting the string position. The LP Custom style relies Gibson on a robust Premium Hardware uniform Gold finish.
Also in terms of pick-up equipment, the boys know from Gibson Custom Shop what is good. The 490R used in the neck position is the modern equivalent of the popular '57 Classic pickup. The pickup provides a contemporary, irresistible Humbucker sound due to a light amplification in the area of the high mids and the use of Vintage Alnico 2 magnets.
A 498T equipped with Vintage Alnico V magnets provides steam at the jetty. The hotter version of the popular 490T delivers warm, punchy lead sounds with pronounced mids and highs and will make rockers a lot of friends...
