Les Paul guitar for left-handers in authentic Sixties style
With the Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Iced Tea Lefthand, Gibson USA presents an electric guitar for left-handers as part of the Original Collection that authentically captures the spirit and sound of the innovative singlecut models from the early 1960s. Besides the mahogany body without weight relief and the obligatory AA curly maple top, the guitar features a "Slim Taper" mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard that fits comfortably in the hand. On the guitar amp, Gibson Burstbucker 61 pickups deliver typical vintage tones with authentic PAF character, which can be adjusted via the hand-wired circuit with Orange drop capacitors. Last but not least, the Les Paul Standard '60s Iced Tea Lefthand from Gibson features Grover Rotomatic tuners and the proven setup of ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar.
Authentic '60s style in looks and sound: The Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Iced Tea Lefthand comes with "Slim Taper" mahogany neck, curly maple top and Burstbucker 61 Alnico-V humbuckers.
In addition to the mahogany body without weight relief, the Les Paul Standard '60s for left-handers has a glued neck in the "Slim Taper" profile.
Classic construction for the typical Les Paul sound
The construction of the Les Paul Standard '60s Iced Tea Lefthand naturally follows the historical specifications to achieve the genuine and powerful sound character. Accordingly, Gibson does without a weight relief in the mahogany body, while the curly maple top in upscale AA quality underlines the dignified look of the guitar. With the pleasantly slim "Sim Taper" profile of the Sixties, the glued mahogany neck also promises comfortable playing characteristics up to the high registers of the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Gibson Burstbucker 61 pickups with Alnico V magnets promise vibrant blues and rock tones with lively vintage PAF character.
Burstbucker 61 pickups and hand-wired circuitry
As pickups for the Les Paul Standard '60s Gibson chooses two Burstbucker 61 pickups. Equipped with Alnico V magnets, the humbuckers promise an authentic PAF character with accentuated midrange and airy dynamics, and to elicit harmonically resolved cleans and powerful Overdrive with singing Sustain from the guitar amplifier. And to be able to adjust the guitar sound precisely, Gibson also relies on the classic, hand-wired 3-way circuit, which, in addition to its own volume and tone controls for each pickup, provides the popular Orange Drop capacitors for smooth treble roll-offs.
The "Open Book" headstock of the Les Paul Standard '60s Lefthand carries Grover Rotomatics for stable and precise tuning.
Traditional Vintage-Style hardware
Of course, Gibson completes the Les Paul Standard '60s Iced Tea Lefthand with the traditional hardware equipment that more than meets professional demands on stage and in recording Studio. On the body, the strings are guided from the lightweight aluminum stopbar over the classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, which was developed by legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty to ensure precise adjustment of intonation and string action. At the headstock in the coveted "Open Book" Style also a GraphTech saddle guides the strings to six Grover Rotomatic tuners, which combine high precision and tuning stability with classic Vintage-Looks.
I am delighted with my new guitar. It is exactly what I expected it to be. The finish and craftsmanship are nothing short of perfect. This is a quality instrument. Money well spent.

I have purchased Gibson before and was never impressed with the quality, however having restructured the company and going back to what they do best, the build quality is flawless! Not to mention the sound and play-ability, it's awesome!
The purchasing process with Music-Store was very easy and the delivery time was very fast!
