The Ibanez Premium S1070PBZ-WFB White Frost Burst is a premium rock and metal guitar with intricate construction and premium DiMarzio pickups.
Elaborate construction with fine woods
The S1070PBZ is constructed from a selection of premium woods. The mahogany body base supports a four-piece top of burl poplar, maple, panga panga and walnut, while the bolt-on neck is made of eleven pieces of panga panga, maple, walnut and bubinga. The streamlined S-design with the "Wizard" neck profile creates optimal conditions for agile handling, so that between 24 stainless steel frets of the panga panga fingerboard every note goes out of the hand as if by itself.
DiMarzio pickups for versatile sounds
The Ibanez Premium S1070PBZ-WFB White Frost Burst is equipped with a DiMarzio HSH pickup setup that promises a wide range of sounds. The bridge-mounted DiMarzio The Tone Zone humbucker delivers an extremely fat sound with a stable bass foundation and powerful mids, which is excellent in the band sound. In the middle position, the DiMarzio True Velvet Single-Coil provides bell-bright sounds with a sweet overtone spectrum, while the DiMarzio Air Norton on the neck provides warm sounds. The pickups are controlled by a 5-way blade switch and general volume and tone controls.

My first high end guitar so reviewing from perspective of a novice.
Guitar is extremely beautiful which is one of the mains reasons why premium was selected over more bland looking entry versions of the series. I wasn't expecting much just a great looking a guitar.
I've been playing the guitar only for three days however after multiple readjustment fret buzzing is prelevant on 6th string. This is the biggest draw back, I expect an experienced guitar workshop can remove the buzz altogether but I think its unreasonable to go through that process after buying a guitar of this price.
Fret buzz aside the guitar sound is much brighter and clearer than my mid range LTD the difference is night and day. DiMarzio pickups offer an extremely crunchy heavy tone on the bridge, clean undistorted sound from single mid pickup and nice creamy mellow tones from neck humbucker. Speaking of pickups the middle pickup may interfere with your picking but for me was not much of an issue.
Overall the guitar definitely looks unique, feels amazing to hold and has great sound to back it up. I'm just not convinced that it's really worth more than double of the standard S range.
