The Ibanez SRSC805 Cerro 5-String Bass Guitar Deep Twilight Flat is a 5-string model featuring a poplar top, a mahogany body, a maple/purpleheart neck, a purpleheart fingerboard, Bartolini MK-1 pickups, and a deep twilight flat finish. The SR Series offers a range of modern bass options, suitable for a variety of players and genres thanks to their smooth, fast necks, lightweight bodies and perfectly matched electronics.
An extended upper horn between the 13th and 24th frets exceeds the traditional connection between the instrument's neck and body in terms of performance. A Scoop-Cut back is sculpted for comfort and easy access to the upper frets, with the smooth graceful contour allowing the palm of the left hand to move quickly and easily as it transitions up and down the neck.
A maple/purpleheart combination for the neck is highly musical and durable, offering the foundation of great sustain. A Mono-rail V bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. The Bartolini MK1 pickups are split-coil designs that provide a very wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy.
The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with EQ bypass switch and mid frequency switch delivers precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
