Medium-scale electric bass with 32" scale length, Ibanez Dynamix P and Dynamix J pickups and active 2-band tone control
The Ibanez Standard SRMD200D-PW Mezzo Pearl White convinces as a medium-scale electric bass with its high playing comfort and strong character sound. On the bass amp, the PJ pickup setup of Ibanez Dynamix P and Dynamix J pickups, along with the active 2-band tone control, delivers a versatile sound spectrum that has the right grooves for just about any style of music. Last but not least, the Standard SRMD200D-PW Mezzo Pearl White features an Ibanez B10 bass bridge and precise die-cast tuners.

While I'm not a fan of P/J set ups, this was the only medium scale bass I could find in the price range. i find short scale ( 30 inches) too short.
The preamp is fine and very usable.
Fretwork was perfect with no sharp ends protruding. The colour is more muted than the photos suggest, but it is still atrractive. No flaws in the finish at all.
In terms of sound, the Precision type pickup is not something i like and I have seen some comments that this with an active preamp seems to be neither fish nor flesh, with the trend being towards passive basses. The rear pickup I use with the bass boosted on the preamp. I plan to install a MM style humbucker there.
It's light, at 3.4kg, 7lb 7oz.

Outsanding Guitar! Even more so condisering the price.
I have been a Fender player most my life but felt like a change and didn't want to spend to much money. So i opted for the Ibanez SRMD200. To my surprise it has now become my go to bass for 90% of my gigs. Such a pleasure to play and what a sound. Lovely tight lows and punchy mids make this such a versatile bass to play. The neck makes my Precision feel really slow and heavy. Shocked is an understatement.
