With Ibanez Yvette Young YY20 OCS
Yvette Young chose the proven Talman design as the basis for her YY20 Signature guitar, which promises particularly agile playing characteristics and a lively sound character with its well thought-out lines and classic tone woods. With its generously rounded edges and comfort shapings on the front and back, the alder body lies snugly and stably against the body, while the bolt-on maple neck with its slim YY profile can be played with ease right up to the highest registers. In addition to traditional dot inlays, the rosewood fingerboard of the YY20 features fluorescent Luminlay side dots, which allow for a secure grip on every note even on dark stages.
The Ibanez YY20's electrical tone conversion is handled by Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro single-coils. Thanks to the Alnico II magnets, the traditionally built pickups deliver a distinctive sound that gently tames the crunchy twang of the attack with a pleasant warmth in the highs. Accordingly, the YY20 turns out to be a top-notch all-around guitar that's equally suited to traditional clean and overdrive tones as it is to effects-heavy sounds of a modern bent. For control over the pickups, the Yvette Young YY20 offers a classic 3-way circuit with general controls for Volume and Tone.
Last but not least, the Ibanez Yvette Young YY20-OCS Orange Cream Sparkle is equipped with high-quality Gotoh hardware. The bridge is the classic Gotoh GTC202 Hardtail, which supports the strong character sound of the electric guitar with the string guide through the body. Six stainless steel tailpieces also ensure precise intonation and string action adjustment. Gotoh MG-T tuners with locking function also guarantee precise and stable tuning of the YY10 electric guitar from Ibanez.
