The Ortofon Q.Bert Stylus is a spare stylus for the Ortofon Q.Bert cartridge, and has been co-developed by the scratch grandmaster himself. Extreme turntablism demands extreme ideas - with an output voltage of 11mV, the Q.Bert cartridge is one of the loudest DJ cartridges ever produced. The especially hard mounting suspension furthermore caters for the designated grip, and the Q.Bert Replacement Stylus has very low wear characteristics.
Been using these a while they’re loud they’ve got an excellent hold in the groove and give excellent sound quality. More over they arrived incredibly quickly..
I was replacing some that I had battered to bits. I was a Shure M44 guy until they were discontinued. These are a good alternative - solid for scratching. You do need to watch for dust though as they can get clogged up. I’d recommend some stylus cleaner and to do the odd clean of your vinyl if you’re a DVS user. cheers
