The Shure SE215 in-ear earpiece offers great in-ear listening experience with deep bass and reduces ambient noise by up to 37 dB. A variety of foam and silicone ear tips are available for a non-slip fit in the ear.
The 2nd edition of Shure's Sound Isolating series allows artists to hear their own performance even on the loudest stages. In fact, when wearing the Shure SE215 earphones, 90% of ambient noise is reliably suppressed.
ISOLATION
Sound Isolating earphones naturally cancel out noise without distorting the audio signal.
Detachable cable
The Kevlar-reinforced cable of the SE215, SE315, SE425, SE535, SE846 models is easily replaceable. The malleable cable is routed over the ears for a comfortable fit and secure hold.
The connection between the earphones and the cable is made via a gold-plated snap-lock mechanism that allows 360° rotation.
If you're looking for something for in-ear-monitors without spending massive bucks to buy custom moulds, the 215's are a good introduction. I've had them a few times now over the years and they've always had a well balanced response, are relatively comfortable once you've found the rubber/foam that fits you best, and decent-ish isolation. I use them for quick reference when mixing bands and shows and they've always suited my needs well.
