The shells of the Tama Imperialstar are made of 6 layers of poplar wood and thus come to a thickness of 8 mm, so a voluminous warm sound full of balance is created. The precision bearing edges are cleanly milled on the top and bottom and provide an even head contact, this is the prerequisite for the clean sound of the drum. The hoop on the Bass Drum is made of wood, this makes the sound warmer and dry. The chromed shell hardware is lightweight and harmonizes harmoniously with the wrap finish.
