The Yamaha EMX2 Power Mixer from Yamaha is the perfect basis for building a small but fine portable PA system. Just 2x passive loudspeakers and you have a solid "Ready to Go" sound system for on the road, which also fits into the boot of any car without any problems.
In terms of operating concept and equipment, Yamaha's EXM2 is based on the motto "Less is more"! Thanks to the simple, clearly structured surface of the console, which is deliberately designed for efficiency, even newcomers to technology will quickly find their way around.
Despite its simple structure, the Yamaha EMX2 still has some features to offer: We have four microphone channels that can optionally output phantom power and thus also operate condenser microphones. All microphone channels also feature a reverb effect based on Yamaha's legendary SPX technology. Of course, the reverberation component can also be controlled independently per channel. It is also possible to mute the reverb effect via a connected foot switch, which is especially useful for musicians who can switch the reverb effect on and off while playing. The three additional stereo channels can also be operated in mono mode and thus also function as additional instrument inputs. All channels feature a full three-volume EQ that allows you to adjust both voices and instrument sounds to individual loudspeaker behaviour or situational room conditions.
The main features of the Yamaha EMX2 Power Mixer include:
The are lots of cheaper PA desks available but I think in this case you get what you pay for. Imediately you can see it is a good design quality build. I am a musician and bought it for a restauant where I work. It does everything it says on the box and the sound quality is great. The controls are sturdy and the indicators bright. I doin't think I can find anything negative to say about this PA Desk.
