500 version of the Black Lion Audio 173 mono microphone preamplifier - a homage to the Neve 1073 - although there are admittedly already quite a few Neve clones - first head-to-head comparisons with the original have shown that the B173 500 is in no way inferior to the original and this even with a better signal-to-noise ratio.
