While the Vintage mode provides the classic sound of the Boss OC-2 with one octave above and two octaves below the played note, the Poly mode captures even complex chords with polyphonic precision. Here, the Range knob allows you to limit the octave effect to the low notes of the instrument being used, so there are no limits to creative expression. Last but not least, the Boss OC-5 Octave offers a Direct-Out, which can be used to send the dry signal to a dedicated amplifier.
