The BDA8 converter is an 8-channel digital-to-analog daughter card for the B80 or B16 Mothership and is the result of Burl Audio's 25+ years of DA converter design experience and thousands of hours of listening tests. Following the overwhelming success of the B2 Bomber DAC, the BDA8 uses the same DA converter technology and combines it with Burl Audio 's in-house developed BOPA14 operational amplifier. The result is a realistic, open and powerful sound. In addition, the BDA8 features Avid delay compensation, improved heat dissipation, and filter selection options implemented via configurable jumper settings.
How does the BDA8 sound?
The BDA8 features tight bass and high definition across the audio spectrum. Instruments and mixes sound three-dimensional, with a wider stereo image and plenty of spatial depth, while maintaining the original shape and harmonic balance of the source.
