The Gibson Memphis Facility presents the Gibson ES-330 2018 Sunset Burst, a successful replica of the half resonance guitar first introduced in 1959. The model with two P-90 Dogear pickups in neck and bridge position, which was popular at the time, offers authentic Rounded 'C' neck profiles and hardware features of the classic Gibson Spirit, while more modern features such as the titanium string tab or the Memphis Tone Circuit prepare the ES-330 2018 for modern applications. Last but not least, the Gibson ES-330 2018 comes with a Gibson Hardshell Case and certificate of authenticity from the Gibson Memphis Facility.
As a sister model of the famous ES-335, the body of the ES-330 unmistakably follows the unmistakable doublecut design, but does without the use of a solid center block. Accordingly, the ES-330 is a classic thin-line hollow body with a striking acoustic timbre and noticeable dynamics. The rounded'C' profile of the mahogany neck is also authentically modelled after its predecessor, whereby the body transition, in line with the early ES-330 models, already takes place at the 16th fret.
In the style of the ES-330TD, the ES-330 2018 presents a double pickup assembly in the form of two Gibson MHS P-90 pickups with'Dogear' tab in neck and bridge position. The single coils with extra wide winding deliver crisp single coil sounds with a warm and wide humbucker character. In the intermediate position of the 3-Way Toggle Switch, both pickups are noise-cancelling and, thanks to Memphis Tone Circuit with Treble Bleed function, can be adjusted without any loss in sound quality using the volume control.
