Inspired by the legendary models from the 30s, 40s and 50s, the Jim Dandy embodies a unique vintage charm that is reminiscent of traditional guitar music and will delight nostalgics. For a great sound experience, the beginner's guitar is made of laminated Sapele, which produces a powerful acoustic sound, while an ergonomic neck profile and a shortened scale length guarantee maximum playability. Thanks to its built in pickup and attractive design, the instrument is fully suitable for the stage and ensures successful performances.

Laminated sapele body

The laminated Sapele top, back and sides produce a bright sound with clear warmth in the mids and basses, while the voluminous dreadnought body produces an extremely assertive sound. The result is a perfectly balanced sound that clearly articulates every single note, making it perfect for fingerpicking and complex chords. These sound characteristics make the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical styles, making it a popular stage and studio instrument.

High playing comfort

As it produces a lower string tension, the shortened scale length of 629 mm also ensures absolutely comfortable playing. Less force is required which is an enormous advantage, especially for inexperienced fingers. Chords and tone sequences are much easier to play and rapid learning progression is guaranteed. Another advantage is the ergonomic C-profile of the Nato neck which allows a comfortable hand position at any point. The walnut fingerboard also contributes to the effortless gliding of the fretting hand over all frets thanks to its feel. Pure playing enjoyment is further guaranteed by the nickel-plated die-cast open-gear tuners, which ensure high tuning stability while the compensated bridge inlay produces a flat string action and clean intonation.

Gretsch Deltoluxe soundhole pickup

In order to be able to present the great sound of the Gretsch JD Dreadnought Delto TSPG BLKT on stage, the guitar is equipped with the Gretsch Deltoluxe Sound hole pickup. This pickup, specially developed for acoustic guitars, captures the natural tone of the instrument perfectly and transmits it to the amplifier absolutely unadulterated. Additionally, it is visually discreet and does not interfere with the harmonious design of the guitar. Inspired by the classic systems of the 1950s, this pickup represents a masterful fusion of time-honored aesthetics and modern technology.

Noble design

The Gretsch JD Dreadnought Delto TSPG BLKT offers ambitious and style-conscious beginners a master-class design with great sound and superb playability. While the top has a luxurious black semi-gloss finish, the back and sides have a traditional natural semi-gloss finish tastefully highlighting the fine grain of the tonewoods. Together with the popular Tortoise pickguard with "G" graphic, Tortoiseshell bindings and a decorative rosette with gold and white rings, the manufacturer demonstrates great attention to detail and expertise in the art of guitar making.
