Laminated basswood body

Thetop, back and sides made of laminated lime wood produce a powerful sound, while the classic parlor construction adds a radiant, overtone-rich sound. The result is a clear sound that clearly articulates every single note, making it perfect for fingerpicking and complex chords. These sound characteristics make the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical styles, including country and folk. This is why music legends such as Joan Baez, for example, prefer to use a Parlor guitar, which brings out the best in their gentle and delicate runs.

High playing comfort

In addition to its compact design, which sits comfortably in the hand, the shortened scale length of 610 mm also ensures absolutely comfortable playability. The short scale length creates less string tension, which means that less force is required to grip the guitar. This is an enormous advantage, especially for inexperienced fingers, as chords and tone sequences are much easier to play. Another advantage is the ergonomic C-profile of the Nato neckwhich allows a comfortable hand position at any point. The walnut fingerboard also contributes to the effortless gliding of the fretting hand over all frets thanks to its pleasant feel. Pure playing pleasure is further guaranteed by the nickel-plated die-cast open-gear tuners, which ensure a high level of tuning stability, while the compensated bridge inlay produces a flat string action and therefore clean intonation.

The Gretsch JD Parlor WPG RXB offers ambitious and style-conscious beginners a master class design in addition to its great sound and overwhelming playability. The top has a traditional sunburst semi-gloss finish, whose exciting color gradient gives the instrument an incredible visual warmth and depth. The back and sides in the natural semi-gloss finish tastefully highlight the fine grain of the tonewoods and form a skillful contrast to the bold colors of the top. Together with the aged white pickguard with "G" graphic, aged white bindings and a decorative rosette with black and white rings, the manufacturer demonstrates its attention to detail and incredible expertise in the art of guitar making.
