Packed with professional features, the HD 25 combo is designed to be user-friendly and reliable for players of all levels. The combo offers Volume, Bass, Mid and Treble controls on its top-mounted amplifier panel, as well as an 1/8" stereo Aux input for playing along with your favourite tracks via an MP3 player and a 1⁄4" headphone output for more intimate practice sessions.
In addition, the HD 25 has a built-in limiter to ensure constant amp operation at safe levels. Lastly, its solid enclosure is finished in a stylish fashion with a sleek, perforated metal grill and moulded strap carry handle.
I have a couple of full sized Hartke bass rigs for live shows and I had no hesitation in buying this Harkte practise amp without reading any reviews and I have to say I am not disappointed The same clarity of sound and sturdy construction is as present and consistent in the HD25 as it is in my HD115 cabs.
The Good:
Quick Delivery
Loud enough to gig with in small venues
Easy to use
GREAT tone for the price
Awesome pedalling platform
Small size
Aux input for backing tracks
The bad:
feel like it may be a little too tight sounding for some, I love that wooten dryness, so I find it perfect, but if you like really wet tones straight from the amp, it might not be for you. (then again, get a few pedals and you're laughing)
Conclusion:
If you need a small, multipurpose, easy to use amp, I recommend this.
Love the sound, very powerful, never used above volume 2 so far. Brings out the tone of my trbx305 nicely.
Wish it had volume controls for the auxiliar input.
