UNO Drum & UNO Synth performance
With the UNO Drum, IK Multimedia presents its first drum computer that generates half of its sounds analog and half sample-based. The twelve instruments share eleven voices and each have two velocity strengths. Kicks, snare, clap and hihats are generated analog. For toms, rim shot, cymbal, ride and cowbell you can draw from 54 PCM samples, which IK Multimedia has taken from the in-house SampleTank 4 sample archive. All instruments can be changed with the four knobs and adjusted as desired. Drive (distortion) and a compressor serve as master effects to give the newly created beats more pressure and punch.
Sequencer & memory
The sequencer of the UNO Drum holds 100 patterns, each of which can be up to 64 steps (four bars) long. Recording can be done either in TR-Grid or in realtime. A total of eight parameters of the twelve instruments can be fixed per step (parameter locks). There is also a song mode, which provides a free chaining of 64 patterns. For self-created drum kits, 100 memory locations are available. To implement temporary rhythm changes spontaneously, the playback effects Stutter, Random and Roll have been integrated. Thanks to the complete MIDI integration of the drum machine, nothing stands in the way of complete control from a DAW, for example.
