Kiko Loureiro Signature guitar with comfortable handling and first-class metal sounds
The Ibanez Kiko Loureiro KIKOSP3-TEB Transparent Emerald Burst is an attractive Signature guitar from the Guitar Hero from Rio de Janeiro that offers excellent playing characteristics and multi-faceted metal sounds at a first-class price-performance ratio. Based on the sleek Ibanez Saber design, the KIKOSP3 electric guitar comes with a handy maple neck and a fast maple neck on which any high-speed riff or solo comes off with ease. Ibanez Infinity pickups in the classic HSH setup and a 5-way circuit with coil split option provide not only a juicy distorting metal distortion with a contemporary sound character at the guitar amp but also harmonic-glassy cleans when needed. As a true shredder guitar, the Ibanez KIKOSP3-TSB Transparent Emerald Burst naturally comes with a tuning stable double-locking Tremolo for smooth dive bombs and squeals.
As a signature guitar of the Megadeth and Angra string magician, the Ibanez Kiko Loureiro KIKOSP3-TEB Transparent Emerald Burst convinces not only with a dignified look, but also with first-class playing characteristics and juicy metal sounds.
The handy poplar Saber body promises unobstructed access to the high registers of the fast neck thanks to the All Access Neck Joint.
Saber design with agile playing characteristics
For his KIKOSP3 guitar, Kiko Loureiro relies on the classic Ibanez Saber design, perfectly tailored to the fast-playing techniques of modern metal. With ergonomic shaping at the front and back, the poplar body promises a snug playing position with optimal balance on the strap and thigh, while wide cutaways and the All Access Neck Joint guarantee unobstructed access to the highest registers of the bolt-on maple neck. This offers ideal playing conditions with the flat "KIKOSP3" pro for tight high-speed riffing and virtuoso soloing on the 24-fret Jatoba fingerboard. Last but not least, the green Art Grain top ensures the dignified look of the electric guitar.
Ibanez Infinity ceramic pickup in HSH setup and the flexible circuit with coil split option promise diverse metal sounds.
Infinity Pickups in HSH Setup
Due to the HSH pickup setup with Ibanez Infinity pickups, the Kiko Loureiro KIKOSP3 Signature guitar convinces the guitar amplifier with a wide range of first-class, clean as well as distorted metal sounds. The Infinity R ceramic humbuckers installed in the neck and bridge position stand here for output-strong tones with contemporary tightness, which represent every note with precise articulation even when playing fast. The Infinity RS single coil in the centre position, also equipped with ceramic magnets, on the other hand, delivers emphatically brilliant sounds with lively dynamic responses. While the 5-way switch calls up the pickup in the familiar combinations, the push/pull switch in the volume pot allows the humbuckers to be split into single coils with a glassy sound. There is also a tone control for adjusting the guitar sound.
Ibanez die-cast tuners guarantee accurate tuning of the KIKO3SP Signature electric guitar.
Reliable Hardware with Locking tremolo
Last but not least, Ibanez completes the Kiko Loureiro KIKOSP3-TEB Transparent Emerald Burst with reliable attachments that guarantee long-lasting playing pleasure. As a bridge naturally an Ibanez Double-Locking Tremolo is used, which reacts smoothly to movements of its lever and convinces even after the heaviest dive bombs with an unrestricted reliability. Behind the locking saddle, Ibanez die-cast tuners also bring the electric guitar quickly and precisely into the right tuning.
I found the finish to be beautiful and well-built, and the tones were also beautiful and versatile for various musical styles. The frets could be taller. I almost didn't recognize them as jumbo. This bothered me when it came to playability.
