J & D AT-120SCE

Grand Auditorium guitar with cutaway and pickup system

The J & D AT-120SCE convinces with its extensive functionality and its balanced sound. The medium-sized Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar is suitable for powerful strumming as well as for fine pickings, which is not least due to the solid top wood. Thanks to the flat neck, the instrument can be picked very comfortably in all 20 frets. Furthermore, the generous cutaway allows optimized access to the high registers. The 6 steel strings can be tuned precisely with the help of the die-cast tuners. The acoustic guitar is rounded off by a pickup system that has a side preamp with an integrated tuner.

Construction and woods

The solid spruce top allows the individual frequencies to unfold in a defined and comprehensive way. Therefore, with little effort, a stately sound result can be generated. Meanwhile, laminated walnut back and sides imbue the bass and midrange frequencies with a pleasant warmth. To ensure easy playability, the Grand Auditorium's nato neck features a sonokeling fingerboard and a flat neck profile. At the same time, the cutaway allows easy access to the highest frets.

Hardware and design

Since the AT-120SCE is equipped with a compensated saddle and a finely notched 43 mm wide nut, the guitar intonates exceptionally cleanly over the entire scale length of 650 mm. The high-quality Fishman Isys+ pickup system makes the acoustic guitar suitable for stage use and supports the player with a practical tuner. Visually, the instrument features a gauzy high-gloss finish, multi-ply Bindings and a dark soundhole rosette that contrasts tastefully with the light wood of the top.
