The Motu LP32 is a USB 2.0 audio interface with AVB Ethernet port. It has 4 independent ADAT banks that provide access to 32 digital input and output channels. In addition, the LP32 combines several functions in one compact device, as it is an audio interface, router, splitter, converter and mixer with AVB network option in one.

AVB network and Standalone-Mixer application
The MOTU LP32 can also be connected to other AVB audio interfaces through the AVB Ethernet port, as mentioned above. This can be done either by a direct Ethernet cable connection from interface to interface or by using the single available MOTU AVB switch, which allows to connect more than two MOTU audio interfaces simultaneously. This allows any number of inputs and outputs to be added to an existing AVB network without much effort. The standalone mixer function of the MOTU LP32 rounds out the very flexible application profile of the audio interface, as it no longer needs to be controlled directly but can be remotely controlled via a web app on iPhone, iPad, smartphone, tablet or laptop. In this way, certain parameters can be modified. This feature makes the MOTU LP32 very interesting for mobile applications, such as stage or general live applications. However, it is also very suitable for studios, as it can be easily expanded through the AVB network.
The ADAT expansion for AVB networks
The Motu LP32 is ideal for adding many digital channels to an existing AVB network in a cost-effective and easy way. All this at very low round-trip latencies. On the other hand, the USB 2.0 audio interface can also be used as a stand-alone interface and offers the user excellent quality and features like the standalone mixer with DSP effects, headphone monitoring or remote control via Web AppControl.
