The bass amplifier also features two Music Man standard neodymium humbuckers and an active 3-band tone control with 18 volts operating voltage for a versatile sound spectrum in which the typical StingRay character is always recognizable. Last but not least, the Music Man StingRay Special HH is equipped with lightweight Music Man custom tuners and the classic Music Man standard steel bridge.

In terms of construction, Music Man relies on tried-and-tested components for the StingRay Special HH RW Purple Sunset E-Bass and uses selected hardwood for the body, while roasted maple is used for the neck, which is highly resistant to climatic fluctuations thanks to vacuum heat treatment. With the adapted lines of the body contours, the Bass lies more comfortably on the body, while the rounded "sculpted neck joint" in combination with the classic "C" neck profile ensures optimum playability across all 22 frets.
