The Launchkey 49 MK4 from Novation is an extensively equipped USB/DAW & MIDI controller that offers space for an arpeggiator, 16 pads, eight smooth-running knobs, nine faders and chord mode on its clearly laid out surface. The keyboard has an easy-to-play 49-key waterfall keyboard with a sturdy construction and is equally suitable for use on stage, on the road and wherever space is at a premium. The 16 velocity-sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch are ideal for recording accentuated drums and percussion. There are five settings for the faders, four of which can be adapted to your own requirements. The first mode is reserved for volume control. The keyboard can be configured for parts A and B (duotimbral) as well as for split and layer applications. The built-in arpeggiator can be used directly via the keyboard with a number of playback patterns. There is also an integrated chord function that allows you to play entire Chords with just one finger. Thanks to the transport function, global DAW functions such as start/stop, recording and metronome can be controlled directly from the Launchkey MK4. Novation has placed great emphasis on comprehensive DAW integration with the inclusion of user-defined mapping functions in the MK4. The controller is therefore prepared ex works for Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper and other DAWs. Settings can be made directly on the device.
Connections
In addition to the pedal input for sustain, the MIDI output is also located on the rear panel. This can also be used to play other instruments such as eg. rack expanders or desktop synthesizers that do not have their own keyboard. The Arpeggiator can also be activated at this output. The data connection to the computer and power supply is via USB-C.

The manufacturer provides a comprehensive download software package free of charge with the Launchkey 49 MK4. Please refer to the Novation homepage for changes and compatibility with Windows and Mac systems and DAWs.
