Large diaphragm condenser microphone from Peluso
The 22 47 SE is a tube microphone from Peluso based on the Neumann U 47 with a steel-jacketed tube, nine switchable polar patterns including spider, power supply unit and flight case. The excellently crafted condenser microphone features classic tube amplification, as used in the U47, which lent its special charm to legendary recordings by the Beatles or Frank Sinatra. The versatility of the 22 47 SE benefits not only vocals and guitars, but also drums, strings and brass. Only the highest quality components and materials were used to imitate the precision and durability of the original as closely as possible.
The 22 47 Standard Edition - American steel-jacketed replica of the Telefunken tube
Like the U47, Peluso's 22 47 SE features a very similar steel-jacketed tube, the 5693/6SJ7, and thus achieves the same level of detail, low noise and high reliability as the VF14 tube of the U 47. The low noise in the 22 47 SE combines the worlds of the warm, slightly grainy vintage recording and that of a precise and unadulterated modern recording environment. The 6SJ7 tube is an imitation of the American design of the original German Telefunken VF14 tube and therefore makes the 22 47 SE less expensive than the LE version, whereby the only audible difference is probably the 2dB lower noise level of the SE model. In all three versions of the 22 47, however, the workmanship of the microphone capsule and accessories is of an identically high standard.
Extensive and stylish accessories
The polar pattern can be changed in nine stages from omnidirectional (omnidirectional) to cardioid to bidirectional (figure of eight) using a rotary switch on the power supply unit supplied. The 22 47 SE is supplied together with the MX-56 power supply unit in a retro metal housing with hammer finish and handle, an elegant wooden box with velvet upholstery, a shock mount with stainless steel frame, an 8-pin signal cable with screw threads and a robust Flightcase. With the 22 47 SE, you get a fully equipped condenser microphone on a par with the U 47, which delivers an absolutely top sound not only for tube lovers.
