The Squier Contemporary Telecaster RH (Gunmetal Metallic) is a 6-String Electric Guitar and the perfect Instrument for all Musicians who want a classically styled Guitar for modern sounds. The Squier Contemporary Telecaster features a lightweight Poplar Body in the typical design, whilst the Bolt-On Neck made of Roasted Maple fits comfortably in the hand thanks to its "C" Profile. The Squier SQR includes a Rail (Bridge) and Atomic (Neck) Humbucker, which provide a powerful, clearly defined sound that makes every riff and solo heard without denying the typical Tele twang. Finally, the Squier Contemporary Telecaster features a 6-Saddle Standard “Strings-Through-Body” Tele Bridge with Block Saddles, alongside precise Sealed Die-Cast Tuners.
Looks lovely and plays nicely - the guitar has a nice "sparkle" effect to the paint, a bit like metallic paint on the guitar. No sharp frets or rough finishes or anything else to mark it as a cheap guitar, and the roasted maple neck looks and feels very nice.
For the money it costs this is crazy value, if you slapped a Fender badge on this rather than Squier I'm not sure anyone would bat an eyelid.
The specifications on this guitar are, as stated in the advert, unusual for a guitar at this price point. That said, I'd be tempted to swap out the tuners/machine heads and maybe the pickups too. However I need to play it a bit more to be certain. :-)
