Analog SansAmp Preamp
The heart of the VT Bass 500 top is without a doubt the analog preamp based on the established SansAmp technology. The Character control smoothly changes the sound structure of the bass amp to deliver both concise SVT sounds in '60s style as well as brilliant funk sounds and juicy distortion.
The Tech 21 VT Bass 500 delivers versatile bass sounds thanks to its SansAmp preamp and active 3-band tone control.
Drive control and 3-band EQ
The active 3-band EQ, in conjunction with the Drive control, allows you to fine-tune the bass sound, providing a wide range of tones from clean to harmonic overdrive. The Bite switch also allows you to emphasize the presence to give the tone more definition and punch. In addition, the Blend control allows you to smoothly blend the unprocessed bass signal to add low-end punch and punch even with high distortion.
500 Watt Class D Power Amplifier, Direct Out
With its 500-watt power amp, Tech 21's VT 500 bass amp delivers enough volume to handle gigs and band rehearsals with ease. Thanks to the use of a modern switching power supply and a Class D power amp, the head remains light and portable. The Tech 21 VT Bass 500 can also be connected directly to a mixing console or recording equipment via the balanced Direct Out with SansAmp simulation.
