Thomastik E.-Guit.Str.,10-44,Jazz Swing Flat Wound

Among the very best strings that I happed to come around in some decades that I play the guitar.
I was after flat-wounded strings for quite some time, and this one is a killer set! Crisp, tasty sound that brings my guitar to life. Previsously, I was using flat-wounds on a hexahedral rod and found them to sound far less rich comparwed with Thomastics. I have also wired my acoustic Tanpoora with the same set. Very happy with it when it comes to producing the sound - tons of nuances, tons of fun! Highly recommed.

De afwerking van deze gitaar is gewoon heel erg goed. Er zit een klein bobbeltje in de lak. Van een afstandje volkomen onzichtbaar. Een zeer goede koffer wordt meegeleverd, voor zit geld is dat bijzonder goed. Zo’n goede koffer alleen al kost snel honderd euro.

Het instrument speelt lekker. De hals is niet te dun en niet te dik, de actie is uitstekend. Nauwelijks iets hoeven bij te stellen. Helaas is de gitaar niet zo heel stemvast. Regelmatig bijstellen. Wel een beetje lastig.

Het geluid is uitstekend. Clean kun je mooi slaggitaar spelen, met wat vervorming is dit een prima keuze voor blues of classic rock. Precies wat je verwacht eigenlijk. Maar dan gewoon goed.

Nee, niet zo goed als een echte Gibson Lucille die ik bij een vriend mag bespelen. Ook die echte Lucille ontstemt vrij snel en ook die gitaar heeft zeer kleine oneffenheden in de lak. Die Gibson is tien keer zo duur en heeft wel een vollere, warmere klank. Maar deze J&D komt heel erg in de buurt en dat is voor zo’n prijs natuurlijk geweldig

I have tried many strings. These are the finest I ever had on my jazzbox - great tone. I use them for jazz and blues. Low action, low tension, easier to bend than others. Great sounding and long lasting at the same time. Definitely worth the price.
