The CK61 from Yamaha is a stage piano with a focus on intuitive operation and portability. Thanks to the slim case and the lightly weighted 61-key FSB keyboard, the CK61 weighs just 5.6kg, making it perfect for those who want to take their instrument with them more often. As an alternative to the included AC adapter, the instrument can be powered by AA batteries, giving you the freedom to play wherever you are.
Ten sound categories give direct access to the 363 sounds, this way you can get to the sound you want much faster. With a polyphony of 128 voices, the CK61 will not run out of breath quickly, this is an advantage when playing fast, but also when you want to take full advantage of the three parts. Each part can be assigned its own sound and saved in a live set. This is very comfortable when playing two tracks from the DAW and playing a part by hand; so you always have the right composition for the next song. A total of 160 live sets can be saved. Layered sounds are also possible and up to three split zones can be distributed via the keyboard.
Another highlight is the many controls. There are nine drawbars for the organ section, along with buttons for vibrato/chorus and percussion. Separate knobs for filter and envelope shape any sound in no time at all.
The effects section has also been generously equipped with knobs. The five effect categories Drive, FX1, FX2,
With the CK61 you get a flexible all-rounder for stage, production and everyday band use. The audio input can be used to connect a line-level playback device (e.g. a CD player) or a microphone, which can also be processed with the effects. Thanks to the Bluetooth audio interface, it is no problem to play a song from your smartphone with the integrated stereo speakers and include it in your own exercises. The USB port is used to exchange MIDI and audio with a music program such as a DAW. So you can record your playing directly in the computer, post-process and incorporate it into production.
