Good subwoofer for a near/average field. Will perfectly add lines of Adam since a3x. Sounding to become much better. Itself I use 2.1 together with adam a5x and s2x. It allows to unload the bottom range. Forcing monitors to sound in more detail on average frequencies.
very pleased with the sound, manufacter states thats a closed sub you can find a downfiring reflex port.there is a hpf at 85hz for the mains and 50-150hz selection range for sub but can not alter the actual crossover frequency. phase reverse only 0 or180 fixed. these limitations are the only bad I can say. overall a very good price-value
For the price, this is an excellent match to my Adam A7X monitors. Unloading the low frequencies from the A7Xs to the subwoofer (using low-cut filter) really helps bring out the mid frequencies of the A7X. Albeit very powerful, the Sub8 can be modulated to lower volume for a balanced match to the monitors.
