keytar design
A keyboard is a keyboard in guitar design. Just like a guitar, it is attached to a shoulder strap and hung around the neck. This gives keyboardists a larger range of motion on stage.
The accessories
The package includes Hybrid 3, Loom 2, Vacuum Pro and Xpand!2 from AIR Music Technology and TimewARP 2600 from Way Out Ware as a sound package. There is also a full version of Ableton Live Lite. The harness and cable holder are also included.
This is a cheap 'n' cheerful keytar with velocity + aftertouch with lots of control features which can be a bit fiddly to set up. It does come with editor software to help setting it up as well as a collection of VSTi soft synths.
I use mine with a Roland JX-08 module.
I would have given it 5 stars but as it only sends out patch-change commands for patch-numbers 1 to 25, I had to knock off one star. Aside from that a fun and responsive keytar for stage fun.
This thing works perfectly with Ableton and is so much fun to play. The pitch bend and touch strip are so easy to control and I have no issue even toggling the tilt control with my pinky (I have big hands though)
