I ordered both the Ibanez RG7421 and the 7 string Epiphone Matt Heafy and was planning to keep the one that suited me best. However both guitars had their particular advantages so that I ended up with keeping both of them. This guitar really stands out when it comes to sound, the EMGs really make it sound amazing. I also like the Gibson fret size since this is the same fret size than my other guitars (which is smaller than the Ibanez fret size). The only downside of this guitar (in my opinion) is it's weight, I don't know the exact weight in kgs but this guitar feels like it weighs 5 tiems more than the Ibanez, however the sound is so damn brutal that I will probably never get bored with playing this guitar.
This 7 string guitar is an absolute metal monster. Can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to make their first jump to a 7 string shredder. Customer service was great and shipping was rapid. Ultimately very chuffed!
