For the 150th anniversary of the traditional company beautiful Epiphone and Gibson are launching a limited edition line of classic Epiphone instruments, which feature their proven composition, features and vintage feel. The Wilshire electric guitar is a classic Double cut Epiphone model of the early 60s, featuring solid tonewoods like mahogany and appealing tonal qualities in the rock range. For the 150th Anniversary Wilshire in Pacific Blue, two GibsonMini humbuckers were placed in neck and bridge positions, and attention was paid to a robust LockTone hardware setup. The anniversary model comes including limited Anniversary Case.
With a separate knob each for Tone and Volume, as well as a classic 3-way circuit, Gibson's two Mini Double Coils can be controlled on the Epiphone Anniversary Wilshire.
The 60s Slim Taper 'D' neck profile fits comfortably in the hand and provides pleasant playing conditions.
Traditional Composition
The Anniversary Wilshire is crafted to classic Epiphone and Gibson specifications for a vintage feel and playing experience. Thus, the guitar model from the early sixties is composed of a double cut mahogany body and a glued mahogany neck. A fretboard made of Indian Laurel provides the ideal foundation over 22 frets, which are easily accessible due to the asymmetrical design of the body Cutaways.
The "Batwing" headstock was given to the Willshire in 1963 and contributes to the high recognition value of the Double Cut electric guitar.
Gibson Mini humbucker and features
Two Made in the USA mini humbuckers from Gibson are responsible for the tonal qualities of the Epiphone 150th Anniversary Wilshire. Accordingly, the sound on the amplifier is characterized by pleasant clean tones with optimal qualities for any genre. In addition, the Wilshire is equipped with a combination of LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar and Wilkonsontuning machines for reliable stability and nimble string changes.
