FENDER Limited Edition American Performer Telecaster MN Butterscotch
Limited Edition Telecaster featuring Yosemite Single Coils and a Greasebucket Tone Circuit, including gig bag
Made in Corona, California, the Fender Limited Edition American Performer Telecaster MN Butterscotch combines the famous Tele feeling with classic twang sounds. It features an easy-to-play maple neck with a modern C-profile and two Yosemite single-coils developed for the American Performer series in the neck and bridge positions. These call up the classic Tele sound from the coveted 'twang' to penetrating leads and effectively suppress unwanted feedback thanks to shellac coil coating. For full control over the pickups' tone, the Fender Limited Edition American Performer Telecaster MN Butterscotch incorporates a Greasebucket Tone Circuit that rolls off highs without adding bass to the overall signal. Last but not least, the American Performer Telecaster comes in a Fender gig bag. As a limited edition, it comes in the classic "Blackguard" look of the 1950s with a Butterscotch Blonde finish and black pickguard.

Great iconic guitar. Although the entry level USA made Telecaster. It compares well to more expensive teles. In fact I personally prefer the satin fingerboard to the gloss urethane finish on the American Professional. Typical tele tones. Great playability. Good delivery time considering it was shipped from Germany and unless I missed one the best price I could find for this particular model.
This guitar is okay, but one could expect more from a US-made guitar. Fender's "cheaper" Mexican instruments seem to have reached a comparable if not higher level of workmanship. If you also consider that these US guitars come without a hard case and with essentially the same hardware as their Mexican counterparts, why pay more for the products from Corona? My particular guitar came in partially non-original packaging and without some important accessories despite having been "thoroughly checked" by the Musicstore's team (according to the label on the box). I hope the store will sort this out for me. So beware when you get your order and make sure all is included.
