The
Fredenstein Artistic EQ
is a 500 Series Equalizer Module with 3x Semi-Parametric Bands. The Module is suitable for all Instrument groups and, like all Artistic Series Modules, is oriented towards the sound of classic Recording Consoles. The Colour Switch creates an additional sound variation with switchable Analogue Tube Simulation. Just like a Tube Circuit, this mode provides for a changed overtone behaviour and over-modulation at higher input levels.

I am using the EQ as a processor on an ABCD bus; it's well suited to the application, it's both clean but with pleasing character with colour mode.
However, 1 of the 2 units I've ordered does not pass signal through the LF signal path, so permanently acts as an HPF. I suspect there is a dry joint on a capacitor which is wiggling about.
It is really well made but unfortunately requires tools I don't have to remove the board with the capacitor on it, since the nuts holding pots to the faceplate are within a cavity to make them flush with the faceplate, I cannot remove them with std pliers or a socket wrench.
