A thermal treatment of the wood gives the impression that the instrument has been played for decades, shaping this into a masterpiece of guitar craftsmanship. With a sturdy molded case and a Gibson accessory kit, the whole package is perfectly completed.

As early as the early 20th century, the coarse-grained North American spruce wood from the Adirondack Mountains was used to build the finest musical instruments because of its high grade and unique sound. Easily recognized by its even texture and tremendously fast response, the wood produces a very powerful and clear sound that is highly expressive in the mid and treble frequencies. The fast and effortless unfolding of each note also makes the Advanced Jumbo attractive to fingerstyle and blues guitarists, as notes are especially long-lasting and decay smoothly in the overtones due to a thermo treatment of the wood, a Scalloped-X bracing and a paper-thin nitro finish. A vintage sunburst finish and a mackerel tear-drop pickguard adorn the top and give the impression that this particularly successful instrument is a true antique.

Comfortable guitar playing is ensured by a mahogany neck with Historic "AJ" profile, which allows easy gripping without much effort and allows very generous access to all 19 frets. Thanks to a generous nut width of 44.45 mm, the fretboard has enough room to allow the player to perform difficult fingerings. The strikingly grained rosewood fingerboard is adorned with precious Mother-of-Pearl Diamonds-and-Arrows inlays, which mark the most important frets and emphasize the value of the material with their bright appearance. A bone nut and corresponding bridge inlay ensure clean intonation throughout the 648 mm scale.
Accessories and care
A treasure of this kind naturally requires the best accessories for sustainable care. Therefore, not only a dimensionally stable case with purple interior, but also a Gibson Accessory Kit is included. The Advanced Jumbo is strung with a Gibson set in 0.012" to 0.053" gauge, which feel very soft and are pleasant to grip. Due to the thin texture of the varnish, it is recommended to maintain the instrument with the "optionally" available Gibson polish and to use it sparingly.
