Derek Trucks has earned his place among the most respected in world, be it with the Derek Trucks Band, with the Allman Brothers or collaborations with Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton and many others.

In the last 20 years he has attempted to build up his reputation and he was successful bringing together a combination of different music styles and high-class musicians.

His weapon of choice is the Derek Trucks SG which is based on the original 1961 SG with a few modifications. The neck profile is shaped to a slim "True D" of the early '60s topped with a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.

The most eye-catching modification is the Lyre Tailpiece which is a true visual treat. A regular stop-bar and the typical ABR-1 bridge deliver the solid sound of the Derek Trucks SG.
