Ergonomic Headless Bass in Multi Scale Construction
The construction of the EHB1006MS Headless Bass follows the intention to combine a precise representation of each string with excellent playing characteristics. Accordingly, Ibanez uses the trendy Multi Scale construction, which provides an optimally matched scale length for each string, starting from 32.5" (826 mm) at high C to 35" (889 mm) at low B. With its beveled back and weight-reducing resonance chambers, the lime body also promises optimal balance on the strap, while the flat "BTB6" profile of the graphite-reinforced neck made of roasted maple and walnut promises agile playing characteristics in all positions. The roasted birdseye maple fingerboard also features DotInlays abalone and fluorescent side dots to mark the layers between the 24 stainless steel frets.
Ibanez T1 Pickups and active EQ
Alt pickup for the Bass Workshop EHB1006MS E-BassIbanez chooses two T1 pickups. Due to the special construction with two coils in separate housings, the Bass pickups deliver a first-class all-round sound with a strong bass foundation, powerful mids and a silky treble spectrum. For precise tone adjustment, the Bass is also equipped with the active Ibanez Vari-Mid 3-band EQ, whose midband is semi-parametric. The EQ bypass switch also allows the EHB1006MS to be set to passive mode, with the treble control acting as a traditional passive treble control.
