The Paiste 2002 Extreme Crash 20" is a handmade crash cymbal with a traditional finish. It is made of CuSn8 bronze developed by Paiste itself, which is also known as "2002 Bronze" due to its successful use in the 2002 series. As a heavy crash, this cymbal has enough volume reserves to make the drummer heard even in the hardest rock and metal environments. In order to stay in shape at all times, special emphasis was placed on durability in the construction, so that even heavy hitters get a reliable cymbal. The sound is characterized by an explosive, bright attack, which cuts through the sound like butter even with loudest music, while the warm crash sound fades out evenly and cleanly. Compared to its 18" relative, this extra-large crash is a little deeper and louder in sound. An extremely powerful and robust cymbal for powerful playing at highest volumes.
The 2002 cymbals are made in Switzerland from a CuSn8 bronze, the term "2002 bronze" has quickly become a legendary due to the incredible popularity of these cymbals. The manufacturing process is carried out by experienced cymbal forges and leads to the complete hammering by hand.
